It all began in Washington, DC where I wrote and produced for the legendary political talk show, The McLaughlin Group and contributed to CNN’s election coverage on Inside Politics.
I’ve always had a love for entertainment and, after leaving Washington to study film production in Ireland, made the big leap to Los Angeles, where I had a front-row seat to Hollywood’s biggest stages as a writer and producer on the entertainment beat for CNN and CNN.com. I’ve covered award shows, musical acts, streaming shows, and films, interviewing stars like Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep, and Tom Hanks, among many others.
I later worked in the sports world, spending five seasons working as a writer on the NFL Network's flagship pregame show, Game Day Morning. I also wrote for international news shows like CNN Newsroom and Quest Means Business and covered local breaking news with the digital team at CBS Los Angeles.
That wide mix of experiences taught me how to adapt quickly and be versatile, which means I can turn pretty much any topic into an engaging story.
I'm currently at work creating a new podcast that takes a fun, behind the scenes look at how journalists cover Hollywood.
